Request for Proposals (RFP) for Computer Tomography Explosive Detection Systems for Cabin Baggage (Ct-Edscb) Ecac Standard 3 Machines Open Date: Tuesday, 22 February 2022 5:00 PM (Pacific/Auckland UTC+13:00) Close Date: Friday, 1 April 2022 2:00 PM (Pacific/Auckland UTC+13:00) Tender Type: Request for Proposals (RFP) Tender Coverage: Sole Agency Regions: New Zealand Required Pre-qualifications: None Overview: Aviation Security Service (AvSec) is to procure up to 37 Computer Tomography Explosive Detection Systems for Cabin Baggage (CT-EDSCB) ECAC Standard 3 Machines. These machines are to be at least ECAC Standard 3 and TSA compliant. AvSec also require a supporting Maintenance Agreement. It is intended that a contract will be awarded in June 2022 with the intent that equipment is installed in the nominated airports by 30 June 2023. The RFP includes: • installing the capability at the current six, Tier One New Zealand Airports with screening operations, • introduction into service training and provision of the associated training tutor capability, and • proven ability to integrate with the current in-service hardware and technology in use on the cabin baggage screening lanes.
