• Request for Proposals (RFP) for Construction Directory for Major Works - Refresh 2022 Open Date: Tuesday, 1 February 2022 12:30 PM (Pacific/Auckland UTC+13:00) Close Date: Thursday, 3 March 2022 2:00 PM (Pacific/Auckland UTC+13:00) Tender Type: Request for Proposals (RFP) Tender Coverage: Sole Agency Regions: New Zealand Required Pre-qualifications: None Overview: Construction Directory for Major Works - Refresh 2022 - Open to new suppliers In August 2018, the Ministry of Education established a national panel of suppliers (Construction Directory) that prequalifies main contractors for the Ministry-s school construction contracts over $500,000. The programme includes construction projects that are funded and delivered by the Ministry and typically relate to projects for: - New schools - School rebuilds, refurbishments and redevelopments - Roll Growth projects - Weathertightness and structural strengthening projects - Prefabricated or modular solutions The Ministry is now reopening the Directory to allow: • new Suppliers to gain admittance to the Directory - • existing Suppliers to tender for additional categories to increase their scope of delivery to the Ministry Works to be delivered through the Directory is anticipated to have a value of approximately $300m per annum. The 2022 refresh process is targeted to where there is a need for more suppliers. Nationally, the Ministry is seeking new directory tenders from suppliers in value bands 5 -7 ($10m - 25m +), with a few regional exceptions as follows: • Auckland - VB4 to VB7 ($5m - $25m+) • Wellington - VB3 to VB7 ($2.50m - $25m+) • Hawkes Bay/Gisborne - VB1 to VB7 ($500k - $25m+) • Nelson/Marlborough/West Coast - VB1 to VB7 ($500k - $25m+) All other regions except those listed above are open to tenderers of value band 5 and up ($10m+). Existing directory suppliers with proven experience are encouraged to apply to increase their value band thresholds irrespective of their current value band. You should submit a response to this RFP if you are a primary construction supplier and: 1. You are not currently a member of the Construction Directory and wish to join and are tendering for value bands five and above unless you are submitting in one of the regional exceptions (outlined in section 1.5) 2. You are currently a member of the Construction Directory and wish to add a new Home Region 3. You are currently a member of the Construction Directory and wish to add a new Work Type, add a new Delivery Approach, or increase your Value Band The closing date for submissions is 3 March 2022.
