Region: Otago Overview: The Dunedin City Council (DCC) requires a professional service Provider to deliver its Dam Safety Assurance Programme (DSAP) to meet its obligations set out by the Building (Dam Safety) Regulations 2022. The DCC-s objective is to ensure the safe and responsible management of its nine dams. Routine tasks include: · Carry out Intermediate Dam Safety Reviews (IDSR) per the DCC programme. · Carry out Comprehensive Dam Safety Reviews (CDSR) per the DCC programme. · Certify the DSAP for the medium Potential Impact Classification (PIC) dams. · Review and approve the six Annual Dam Compliance Certificates. · Facilitate an annual desktop Emergency Action Plan (EAP) exercise. · Facilitate a full EAP simulation every 5 years. · Review the Dam-s PIC every 5 years. In addition to the above, non-routine tasks include seismic investigations and assessments and Management, Surveillance, and Quality Assurance (MSQA) support and oversight for capital projects that address identified issues. The provider must be a recognised engineer for DSAP and Potential Impact Classification (PIC) review and certification purposes. We seek to partner with a provider for the long term with a contract of up to 9 years, 7 months, subject to performance. We want a provider that is proactive, allocates staff resources efficiently, takes ownerships, meets deadlines and can demonstrate a dynamic approach to their work.
