Its purpose is to operate and maintain the State Highway Network in the Wellington and Wairarapa regions. While the Alliance will have the means to deliver a large portion of the work, one of our key objectives is to develop a Healthy and Sustainable Supplier Market in the Wellington Region. To achieve this, the WTA would like suppliers (regardless of State Highway Experience) who are passionate about operations and maintenance - with an interest in growth and working as -one team- - to attend our briefing. The scope of works the WTA will potentially need partners for include: • bridge structure inspection and maintenance • tunnel inspections and maintenance • road corridor maintenance, renewal and reseal/resurfacing • pavement stabilising • haulage • street cleaning (sump, sweeping) • graffiti removal • vegetation control • road marking • street lighting • traffic signals • traffic counting • intelligent transport systems • temporary traffic management • labour hire • professional services (a range of associated specialist services, including for example geotechnical inspection and water quality etc) The Wellington Transport Alliance (WTA) invites contractors, consultants and suppliers in the Wellington region to an online briefing on Thursday 3 March from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. At the briefing, we-ll talk about the Alliance, how it will operate (from 1 July), approximate timeframes, potential work opportunities, and what the process will be to register your interest. A question/answer session will be provided as part of this briefing. On completion of the briefing, we will send attendees a Registration of Interest document for those interested in being considered as a supplier to the Wellington Transport Alliance.
