Overview: Masterton District Council is looking to procure the services of an experienced contractor with a proven track record for the Central Business District Queen Street Infrastructure Upgrade Project. MDC is looking to complete all required infrastructure improvements to Queen St, in combination, to minimise disruption to Queen Street residents and businesses. The Contractor will be responsible for delivering on this approach and will play a vital role in the success of this project for our community and provide a foundation for future town centre improvements - Nga whanaketanga ki te pokapu taone. The project has a high level of public interest, and the opportunity to bring our community along on the journey will be critical to its success. The redevelopment includes replacing the existing water main, installing a new rider-main, resurfacing the footpaths and roads, replacing street furniture, and installing new garden areas. The general scope of work includes: · New water mains, rider main, laterals and irrigation systems. · Kerb and channel installation. · Concrete and asphalt footpaths. · Road resurfacing. · Street lighting replacement. · Landscaping, including new garden beds. · Line marking and signs. · Street furniture. · Stakeholder Consultation, Communication, and Engagement.
