Description:
Tenders are invited for Mount Maunganui CBD Streetlight Upgrades - Physical Works. The purpose of this Advance Notice is to inform suppliers of upcoming Request for Tender for the installation of new streetlights along Maunganui Rd between Tawa Street and Adams Avenue. This contract will consist of three parts - supply of light poles, supply of luminaires, and installation/physical works. The contractor will procure the poles and luminaires on Tauranga City Council-s behalf (TCC will make an advance payment for supply of goods). These will be sourced from a nominated supplier at a pre-arranged price. Both poles and luminaires to be delivered to and stored at the address of the contractor in Tauranga ready for installation. The contractor will take responsibility for storage from delivery until installation. The physical works include: · Install approximately 80 designer streetlight poles (replacing/upgrading existing) along Maunganui Rd between Tawa Street and Pacific Ave. · Install approximately 20 basic oclyte streetlight poles (replacing like for like) along Maunganui Rd between Pacific Ave and Adams Ave. · Install upgraded LED luminaires to each new pole. Works will be taking place in close proximity to underground services, and as such the contractor will be required to undertake comprehensive investigation and mapping of each of these prior to the start of construction to avoid service strikes. The contractor will be required to work closely with TCC-s Community Engagement liaison to minimise disruption to the local businesses. The contractor-s programme will need to achieve a balance of day/night works to accomplish minimal disturbance to not only the local retail businesses but also to the pubs/restaurants that operate in the area of an evening.
