Overview: Nelson City Council (Principal) is seeking to procure a contractor to carry out works on our community-s infrastructure. To achieve our objectives we are looking for solutions which meet our Council values and mandate, core to this is care and respect for our people. The proposed carpark off Paru Paru Road will be located opposite the proposed city centre play space and will be adjoining the existing formed carparks at Trafalgar Centre. The carpark will complement the Rutherford play space and overflow event parking, and will also alleviate pressure associated with the loss of parking on Bridge Street and at Millers Acre. Options for the repurposing of topsoil are being investigated. Tenderers should be aware that this project may not be able to start until October as some options will need to accommodate sports field use. Tender responses will be evaluated including all provisional items however, one surfacing option only will be selected for construction. Responses must not exceed 25 A4 pages (excluding programme and any appendices) and must be formatted with a minimum font size of 10 point. All tenderers are reminded that any questions should asked via GETS Question & Answer Facility only. This tender is using the new split file responses feature on GETS.
