Overview: Rangitikei District Council (RDC) is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced main contractor to: · Remove the main pool hall roof, including the roof cladding and primary and secondary timber subframe. · Remove the existing HVAC plant room. · Install a new ETFE roof and steel subframe. · Replace the existing HVAC system for the main pool and teaching pool. · Replace and upgrade the lighting to the main pool only. · Provide a new Type 4 fire safety system throughout the whole facility, including the gymnasium. · Seismically strengthen both the main 50m pool hall and teaching pool only. This is a key community project, where an existing asset has been closed due to safety concerns. The community is keen to be able to use this asset again. The project requires a main contractor who can deliver to a fixed budget and a timeline that allows the community to use the upgraded facility before the next swim season (September 2026). This is an opportunity for a main contractor of any tier to showcase their abilities, strengths and expertise in delivering a project of this scope and scale.
