- South Wairarapa District CouncilSouth Wairarapa District Council (SWDC) would like to advise suppliers of two upcoming civil engineering and construction tenders that will be coming to market on TenderLink before the end of August 2025. 1.Contract C-1275: Featherston Watermain Renewals Location: Featherston Township, South Wairarapa District, New Zealand. Scope: The Contract Works required includes the replacement in Polyethylene (PE) of approximately 2250 m of water mains at multiple locations within the township of Featherston, in the South Wairarapa district of New Zealand. Most of the work involves working within an existing urban street network to replace existing 100 and 150 NB AC or RC pipes which are near end of asset life. The work also involves approximately 230 m of work on a main feeder line which is to be replaced and upgraded from 200mm to 355mm (400mm OD) in PE, to accommodate the future increased demand. The Contract includes all services location and protection, traffic management, day to day community liaison, trench opening, pipe supply and installation, installation of valves, tees and couplings including anchor blocks and miscellaneous fittings, flushing, disinfection and testing, backfilling and resurfacing and restoration, disposal of old pipes etc. 2.Contract C-1276 Waiohine WTP pH Dosing: Location: The work is located within the Waiohine WTP site 157 Waiohine Valley Road, Featherston, within the South Wairarapa District, New Zealand. Scope: The Contract Works required includes: a) Construction of a delivery bay loading area. b) Construction of tank slab foundation and chemical bund area. c) The supply, delivery and installation of a 15,000 litre NaOH Storage tank and components. d) Electrical work. e) The construction of the tank level monitoring and chemical dosing system. f) Erecting a roof structure. g) Earthworks and pavement for a truck access and hard stand. h) Modifications to site fencing, including new gates, removal and disposal of...
