Overview: Purpose of ROI: Taranaki Regional Council (TRC) is seeking to identify suppliers with the appropriate expertise in modern data platforms, including but not limited to Snowflake, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, and other cloudbased solutions. Shortlisted respondents may be invited to participate in a subsequent Request for Proposal (RFP) process if we decide to proceed. Why should you register your Interest? This is an opportunity to work with TRC on producing a state of the art, showcase data platform that touches on every aspect of the work we do. It will provide a foundation on which we can build and extend into new service delivery methods and technologies. As well as the technology, we are also evolving our data governance approach and its implementation throughout the organisation. The Opportunity: TRC is seeking expressions of interest from experienced suppliers to assist in the selection and implementation of a modern cloud-based data platform with strong Data Governance at its heart, and to provide ongoing support under a service level agreement. This initiative aims to improve the quality and robustness of the data we hold, matched to the needs of the business. This enables users to quickly and confidently identify TRC-s data holdings in support of annual plan objectives, public sector data governance standards and principles.
