Region: Canterbury Overview: Proposals are requested from suitably qualified suppliers for the above contract. Waimakariri District Council is looking to work with a specialist waste minimisation and sustainability education business to deliver support for Council-s investment in waste management and minimisation and 3-Waters (water supply, wastewater and stormwater) services in the Waimakariri District. This will be provided through the delivery of a comprehensive education programme for schools, the community and businesses across a number of forums and using a range of engagement methods. We are looking for either: a) a business with a strong track record in delivering these types of education programmes in schools, the community and to businesses, to improve environmental outcomes for the Waimakariri District; or b) an existing or potential new business with an interest in expanding its existing strong school, community and environmental education expertise further into the area of sustainability education in line with and to support Council service delivery and activity performance targets, as outlined in this document.
