Close Date: Tuesday, 16 September 2025, 12:00 PM (Pacific/Auckland UTC+12:00). Tender Type: Request for Proposals (RFP). Region: Wellington. Overview: Wellington City Council (WCC/the ‘Council-) seeks a lead main contractor (Contractor) to reinstate Harris St and Wakefield St (South Side) respectively after years of neighbouring construction and subsequent neglect. These two streets form part of the perimeter to Te Ngakau Civic Precinct (Te Ngakau/the ‘Precinct-) which is currently being revitalized and therefore needs to feel connected (physically, functionally and aesthetically) to the precinct itself for a positive urban pedestrian experience. These two streets have been bundled into one project (Te Ngakau Streetscape) and will include (but is not limited to): Civil works, Landscape Construction and Planting. Harris St must be completed before February 2026. It is WCC-s intention to appoint a single supplier who will act as the lead contractor and therefore be responsible for the overall management and oversight of the construction project, including coordinating subcontractors and ensuring the project is completed on time and within budget. They will also act as the primary point of contact for WCC and manage all aspects of the construction process. This tender is using the new split file responses feature on GETS.
